Dear Patients,
We wanted to give all our patients an update in our management of the COVID virus pandemic. We receive constant updates from the CDC, our medical organizations and the Florida Department of Health to ensure our office is in compliance and meets all standards to continue offering care to all our patients.
We have taken steps to ensure your safety when needing to be seen for routine and acute care in the office throughout the day and week. We can also see our patients for acute or sick visits in a different area of the office, to ensure everyone’s safety. If you are having an illness, we encourage you to reach out to us first, before going to an urgent care or hospital, where the risk of getting infected is considerably higher.
We are also beginning virtual visits through a company called doxy.me. These can be scheduled by calling the office and asking to be placed on the regular schedule. The process is easy, as you will receive a text to invite you to the telehealth platform, without having to download any applications or software. You can also request a virtual visit through your patient portal in Athena. These visits are being treated as office visits by health insurances, with similar co-pays and deductibles. However, we may still ask you to be seen if we determine that appropriate care requires an in person visit to get the best medical care possible.
Please feel free to use us as a medical resource during this difficult time. We are all looking forward to getting back to a semblance of normality. Be safe and be well.
